Could you imagine what might happen to put a Piranha together with a Goldfish into an aquarium? Correct, the Goldfish is, at least, endangered! Possibly, he will not survive this meeting.
When on May 12th, 2016, at the second semifinal Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, two participants meet, it might happen, that one of them is endangered.
Israel is represented by Hovi Star, with his – in my opinion not too expressive – song „We are made of Stars“ who won the heart of the Israeli public. The singer, 29 years old, is well known for his impressive styling!
Competing for Romania is Ovidiu Anton, 33, with his Gothic-Rock waltz „Moment Of Silence„. In the official ESC version, the song seems to be innocent without particular depth. However, in the Facebook site of the singer it is overloaded with a tremendously concentrated aggression. It is bloodthirsty, martial and shocking.
Immediately after his video, this picture is presented: A boot stamping on fleeing cockroaches. On he back of the cockroaches the flag of Israel is shown. With the clear message: „Keep our world clean, fight Zionism“.
Anyway, another person posted it. Nevertheless, he tolerated it and did not remove it. Therefore, he assumed responsibility. That is how it is with Facebook and everywhere where traces are left in the net.
He is now intolerable for the ESC. The overall picture he created for himself and for his attitude is disqualifying him for all future participations.
It is unacceptable for the Israeli singer to participate the stage with him. He is not expected to keep his control and to avoid spitting him on his feet. Should Hovi manage to reach the final, then likewise for Amir, the jewish French participant already qualified for the final, it is unacceptable that he shares the same stage with someone for whom Jews are cockroaches to be scrunched.
Facebook reacted fast; today the comments have been removed.
Pictures are screenshots from the Facebook account of Ovidiu Anton, and where taken by me on March 30th 2016, just some hours before they have been removed.
Will ESC decide on a corresponding quick reaction?
